Frankly speaking, all these built-up Chinese cities are starting to look the same. that it automatically stops them from being a "World's Best" to me. Shanghai and Hong Kong are the only ones truly recognizable from that country.

skyscrapers all look similar, what about america? all cities have the same style. People can tell newyork from chicago, from San city, from seatle because they are all famous world cities! How many Chinese cities can you tell if there are not any skyscrapers? In fact no more than 5 I guess, most cities are unknown, so they look similar to you. If you know them well, then you can tell them from each other easily.

Kinkey, Shunshin, and Pingan in the future are so remarkable...

Exactly. But I'd still say LA and San Francisco's skyline are quite recognizable. Not downgrading Chinese cities, just stating what I've observed.

Space needle Seattle, yeah, I like Seattles skyline but to be honest, I don't think many people know about the space needle in Seattle.
1. True. LV is not famous for it's skyline, but for the Strip and gambling
2. The Golden Gate Bridge is not just a "famous" bridge. It was a modern marvel at the time. I wouldn't just say it's ordinary looking 'cause it's probably the most recognizable and famous bridge in the world.
3. I agree with what you said about Seattle

I rather have NY's reliable 24/7 subway than a hypermodern one which closes at 01am lol. NY's systerm may be old but it delivers.

In fact, Chicago and New York are two of only three or four 24 hour subway systems in the world.

Can't say that NYC subway system is the best, but it's certainly the world's largest and the only system operating 27/7.

NYs subway is not the largest in the world. Shanghai got now the title. Berlins S and U Bahn is also larger.

Not true. The Red and Blue Lines in Chicago run 24/7 as well.

quite well told.

I catch path train into 33rd street station from Jersey City. Once I came out of it, I can go anywhere into manhattan in any direction from subway any time of the day. Its cheap & incredibly convinient.

Last thing I want is a bullet train technology very expensive & closes at 10 pm.

Shanghai, the Big Brother in Asia, not sure about the World.

The photo was taken early last year. The High-rise apartment building right in the middle blocked the view of Middle Huaihai Road/People's Square Skyline. The image also missed the Xujiahui and Changning Skylines which suppose be on your further left hand side.
