I personally feel singapore skyline aint that small. Based on the data, indeed singapore lose out in number of buildings over 200m compared to chicago but singapore definitely has more highrises than any american cities. Just that singapore highrise very spread out unlike typical american cities that outside their CBD has little skyscrapers or highrises. If talking about quantity and size. I think sao paulo should be in the list as well

yeah i agree, chicago is one of my favourite skyline. Its not having a boom like in NY making it overshadowed really. Chicagos concentration of towers cant be underestimated

It has, but nothing like NY or some Asian cities. There are a few projects going up now and 3 potential supertalls over the next few years so that's good.

I don't think it's small at all, but compared to a city like Chicago it's not that big, or tall.

I think Singapore has a great and interesting skyline but to say it's among the world's best is weird to me, but yea it's all a matter of opinion anyway. I just think Chicago is one of the top 5 cities that's often forgotten about.

For the size of the city, Chicago's is huge. Especially when compared with large Asian cities. I think it combines height, density, and beauty perfectly. Many Asian cities have the height and density, but lack the beauty unless it's at night when you only see the city lights. My favorites, as my opinion and not a fact, are in no specific order. Chicago, NYC, Toronto, Hong Kong, Singapore, Melbourne.

I meant size of the buildings/skyline, not necessarily population. Should have specified.

Bangkok does kinda come close in size but not quite in terms of height

Chicago's skyline is bigger than most of those other cities 'Jay' mentioned, but not it doesn't 'blow them away' in size like he contends. Bangkok's is almost the same size while KL and Toronto will likely pull even before the decade is out. Aesthetics? That's a matter of opinion.
