why are you flooding so many street level shots? When the title clearly says skyline? It is almost spamming.

That's what I was thinking. You can't even see the sky in that last one. Btw, is that MOMA tower in NYC now called Tower Verre? I'm completely green with envy over that one.

Bangkok has a gorgeous skyline. But i like the Jakarta one a little more. Makati, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur are about the same level. What one of the cities misses in height, it has in density and vice-versa. I did not consider Singapore, because it is developed world and not an Emrging Market...

There is a vantage point not often seen. Is that Causeway Bay looking east?

It's taken from Wan Chai looking out to Causeway Bay and Eastern.

Is it taken from somewhere near, or even from, The Hopewell?

Here's a similar view, looking more north - taken from the residential development known as "The Zenith"

This is hard to choose. Hong Kong has sheer density and modernism, New York essentially has several skylines shaping the entire city, Chicago has height, etc etc. To me, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say San Francisco. From the right vantage points, it is just uniquely beautiful in a way no other city can match.

I am below 20 and I unvote my hometown Calgary. Terrible density, buildings are boring, short, and uninspired. Lame.

My favourite skylines are close to home, they're the league of Asian Pacific cities which are competing neck to neck right now in terms of:

A. Busiest Port (2008) 1. Singapore 2. Shanghai 3. HK
B. Best Airport (2008) 1. HK 2. Singapore
C. the next financial center outside of Tokyo

HONG KONG:

SINGAPORE:
