It's quite contra-dictionary that you have to climb a building to witness the great skyline. It's the same with Shanghai. From a tall building it's much more imposing than Hong Kong (seen from a tall building). But from street level it's a very different story.

Then maybe we can look at all skylines from street level. Hong Kong's skyline will still be the winner.

Some of these photos show the street level of Singapore Skyline.

Being objective, the world best skylines surely will be dominated by Asian cities.
They already have awesome n massive skylines - and still grow rapidly . . .

Many Asian cities are real stunner.

When we talk bout the largest, without doubt, the largest cities in d world are already dominated by Asian cities now.

Just my opinion tho . . .

i understand, but "best" will always and forever be subjective, not objective. Largest on the other hand is completely objective

Shanghai, near 5000 highrises and counting - every year they have to build more highrise space than all the office space on Manhattan, in order to accommodate the population boom:

You do realise Shanghai by law has to have x amount of people living in y vicinity of z amount of green space right?

Look again at this pic, below the skyscrapers, and youll see how that law has taken effect - it's actually alot greener than you'd think.
Also the reason the city looks brown from the air is the russet coloured roofs of the old buildings.

The russet tiles of the old buildings that carpet whats below the towers:

Thing is with Shanghai (this is from pictures ive never actually been the myself) it looks as if there are 5 or 6 really stunning buildings if that and then the rest are identikit apartments thing is there are (in my opinion) much more recognisable and beautiful skyscrapers in some where like NYC (also shanghais green areas arent helping with the smog are they
