@ Millenial
Great pictures. This photo of the Four Seasons Hotel (on the right) is unlike any I've seen before. It's surreal, like something from Gotham City or a comic book. By the way, the similar buildings to the left (with the two identical domes): what are they called? Who is the building tenant or tenants? |

Thanks power -mad
Hehehehe .. to be honest with you man , I used Photoshop to create this effect and the original picture is a little different ![]() About your question… the tower on the right is the Q-tel headquarter while the one on the left side is the four season hotel ( the whole project called the west bay complex)

OK Guys
Have you lived there ? If so, have you ever had a car acident ?
Because if you had, with a national you know that you never right !!! Also is the city where, if you know someone you will go somewhere. Its a great place no doubt, but go and live there, do you know what is racism ????? I know, i have lived in a country where we white people had to walk in one side of the road and the black people have to walk in the othr side. Let me tell you in Qatar is very, ver clear. Qatari first, white/expat after, after will be Chinese, Indians and latest Sri Lanka and Nepalese. Go to a supermarket and you see that when you wanna pay. Heyyy this is 2006, should not exist god/profet sake. But yes is a lovely place, no doubt. I have hundreds of Qatari frinds, they tell me they are ashamed because they have never lift one harm to build they country. |

You are right, Qataris dont lift one arm to build their country. They lift TWO. Racism exists everywhere including Qatar. About driving conditions you are are 100% right.

we for sure, appreciate the work that have been made by foreign labours, but if it wasn't for qatari minds and planning, non of these could ever be achived. as for driving, i suggest you go and have a look at cities like cairo, mumbai or beirut, instead of dispelling misconception and attacking people with malicious rumors. next time, post a comment when you have an objective & negotiable matter to discuss, otherwise "soi belle et tais toi". have a good day. |

Doha looks very attractive and nice in these pictures, but I suspect that these pictures are at least 5 years old.
If you were to see the same places now, you would find that the entire place is covered with construction crane and skyscrapers under development. Doha is changing at an incredible pace a la Dubai and these photos, attractive as they are, do not reflect the current Doha. |

Go to oil fields, oil rigs, road projects etc, and you will find them being managed by Europeans, Lebanese and Egyptians. Tha Qataris are the ones drifting in late, spending all day on their mobiles, and drinking coffee!! |

It can not be blamed on poor road conditions like some undeveloped countries but is due purley to poor driving habits. If you are a Qatari, ask yourself how many of your friends have been seriously injured or killed in a car accident. |

FYI, many oil & gas sectors in the country is managed by locals, who proved to be a hard workers, again, and got certifcates of excellence by major international oil & gas comapnies operating in the country. having few who'd lazy & irresponsible doesn't mean that you should generalize, otherwise, we qatari forumers w'd sit back & let you do the job for us & do the posting. |

Guys, as for road accidents-- there is a serious problem here that we need to deal with. I totally agree with Tallsmurf. The number of Qataris and non-Qataris for that matter killed in Qatar is enourmous, and its only getting worse. No one can deny this fact. Read the newspapers everyday, so and so died and he is 18. So and so died and he is 24. Most of these young people died because of accidents which could have been prevented. Trust me on this issue.
--As for hardworking. There are alot of Qataris drinking coffee and sitting in an office all day. ALSO, there are much more hard working Qataris who work extremely hard in their jobs. --Saying that most or a lot of Qataris sit around and do nothing all day is totally absurd and lame. I am not saying this because I am Qatari, I am saying this because of personal experience with Qatari family members who seldom see their families-- only at night and when they wake up next morning.
