Australia is 'big' in terms of land. But more medium in terms of population.

Turkey is partly European. Same story for the biggest city in Turkey: Istanbul. Also the lifestyle of many modern Turks fits into European culture pretty well. Turkey is more European than you might think when solely looking at its geographical position.

I thought about Ukraine. well....The country has quite large territory and population but...if her GDP/capita was only about 10,000, I would say Ukraine is big... but currently, her economy scale is even negligible...Ukraine is not Spain...Sorry.
