SHIT see how big the scaled model was. It is to my understanding he said it was in excess of 160 stories. Qualitativly estimating is height from the clip, id say it be between 780-900m.

She said Burj Dubai is taller than new buildings going up in NY and Shanghai.
I assume she's referring to the "Freedom Tower" in NY and the "Shanghai World Financial Centre" in Shanghai.

CNN Tower

haha yeah, she sadi CNN tower. the developer (i think it was) said it would be no less than 160 stories.. but you must consider, if im not mistaken, they are useing short floor plans, meaning that if they used the tall floors (like in the Freedom Tower) it would be around 120 stories..

^It means nowadays most new buildings build with high floors like the new wtc is 82 stories but = to 110 cause its at the same height as the old wtc and burj dubai is said to have 160+ but the floor to roof height isnt that big if it were than it would be like 120 stories. And i think its absolutely stupid of putting an observation deck on the 124th floor when its said to be 160+ floors

^ Yeah right, "just 10 ft per floor" as most of your buildings. And 160th or 189th floor will be so high that you'll not see anything and will ask for your money back.

basically, there is a standard measurement for buildings (stories) but these new modern skyscrapers have larger/taller floors, which may be up to 2-3 times larger than a normal floor.
