Indeed pretty cool. Fantastic atmosphere. They almost celebrated Koln goals louder than Dortmund ones

Congrats to this fantastic (young) team!

Hey all, my first post and I'm wondering if anyone can help me finding out some information on the construction sequence of this stadium for an article that I'm writing for my blog.

I have a handful of images of the stadium without the corners but can't find anything of it's original state in 1974.

One of my favourite stadia this, a great example of how modern all-seater stadium can be complemented with terraced areas to provide a superb atmosphere.

Very nice stadium from the outside, the inside is impressive, but I don't like the corners.
But overall "what a stadium" !!!

Indeed, they screwed up the corners:

Was better with open corners and goal post structures:

If you once take a flight to Dortmund airport, you can see the stadium , the aircrafts are passing at a quite low altitude on a landing approach from the west.
Take a seat on the left side

I would go to an important game in Dortmund since there are flights from Bucharest.
Close to airport, cheap places to spend the night around? Easy access towards the city center?

The airport is on the very edge of the city, you have access to the city center by bus and train in 30 minutes. There is a cheap Etap Hotel close to the airport, but it is in the middle of nowhere. The only places you can go are a Mc Donald's or a petrol station

I guess in Dortmund are some affordable Hotels close to the city centre (e.g. Mercure Hotel Dortmund City)

Well, then, I plan to stay for a game a maximum of 2 days over there ( don't want to spend much ), so if not near the airport then a hotel near the stadium, with access to the airport is possible?
Wanted to do Milan since flights are very cheap ( 138 RON both tickets, that's like 30-35 euro's for mid-October ) but the low-cost airport is far from the city with no shuttle and a one hour ride + Serie A kinda sucks and I'll rather go to 3 Champions League games over here on National Arena or even to Europa League if there's a worthy team coming. Barcelona being a bit to expensive for flights, even London Luton is cheaper but getting a ticket on Emirates must be hell hard.

It would look much more impressive with a clear roof structure. Like on the Betzenberg, you dont see nearly a half of the crowd, because of sightlines or shadowcasting.
