They need to sort out the seating colours, it needs a uniform scheme as the current look really makes the stadium look bad when empty. A yellow bowl would look good...

This year the Borussia has an record average attendance of over 80.500 in a capacity stadium of 80.720 !!!! Is there the possibility that for next year the capacity will be about 90.000 if also the Curve Nord will be standing room only as the Curve Sud ?

They'd probably lose money doing so, wouldn't they (with standing room tickets costing around €15 while the other ones in the north end cost around €30-42)?

Kampflamm maybe know it better, but i think terraces are only allowed at the first tier in Germany?!?!

Amazing atmosphere there yesterday. It's already great, but it could use a bit of a facelift, and for BVB's sake a further expansion with some VIP boxes. That's how you make serious money and BVB needs it if it wants to compete consistently with Bayern.

But they have achieved something amazing there the last 2 years.

Borussia - Werder 2-1. Attendance 80.645 ( new capacity and sold out of course ).
I think that Dortmund deserves a 120.000 stadium !!!!

The stadium has basically been completely rebuild up to the WC-2006. What kind of a facelift do you think that the stadium needs?

Another expansion is always possible, but extremely costly. I do not think that will happen soon, if ever.

Dortmund spent just 10 million € in smaller construction projects in the stadium.
They won't make bigger refurbishments for at least 20 years.
It is just 7 years ago when the club was almost insolvent, they reduced the debts from 170 million € in 2005 to just 11 million in 2012.

81,000 is the maximum size for a stadium at this place, there is no space to extend the stadium again, the infrastructure (streets, parking space, subway) is on the breaking point.
