If you want to catch Peter Jackson at his bohemian best I most definately suggest Brain Dead - one of the funniest films ever, from a sick twisted perspective.

*** Warning *** definately nil by mouth up to 7 hours prior.

The Lawn Mower scene, just got to be seen to be believed!!!

BBC confirms Castaway to be filmed on NZ island

10.15am Wednesday October 25, 2006

The BBC has confirmed the second series of its reality TV show Castaway is to be filmed in New Zealand. The BBC said yesterday the location was chosen "to take the castaways even further from their current lives". No location was disclosed but last month London's Sunday Times reported several of the islands in the Hauraki Gulf were being considered by the series' producers.

It was reported in August that filmmakers had visited Great Barrier Island. The Sunday Times said filming was planned to start in February. In 2000, 36 people spent a year on a Scottish island fending for themselves. BBC One controller Peter Fincham said: "Fans of the previous series will recognise it, but we've got a few twists and surprises up our sleeve."

Castaway volunteers would build their own shelters. The BBC said the contestants on the second series would "reflect all aspects of British life" and they would use their skills to "develop the infrastructure of the island". In the original series seven people left during the course of the year.

Cool. Though I can think of one place on Earth further away from Britain - Antarctica! Specifically NZ's Ross Dependancy.

God I hope they do the filming in Summer. Best place will probably be Great Barrier Island.

mmm....it was a strange programme when they showed it here (UK). One of the guys of it - Ben Fogal - is now a regular TV presenter. BBC must be pulling at straws for reality tv shows.

Na, I can't stand reality television. The worst thing to come out of the American entertainment beast suffocating our cultural identities. It's just so contrived.

Hmmm, I used to do that back in varsity. Lets just say that back in those days I used an electric typewriter - it did have a twink/white out function, and at 1am, it was used frequently.

Or you could just request an extension and go out with a couple mates drinking home brew and playing 500 until just before the first morning lecture.
