Also I've recently finished going through the Flight of the Choncords series. Apart from the odd flat spot its easily one of the smartest shows in a long time. They have hit cult status in the US and for good reason. They're already on series 2 and a movie later down the track wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. I think its showing on Prime.
It is showing on Prime - quite dry but I will get into it ... SKY launches another channel on 01 October called VIBE ... they promise some interesting (and new) series' for NZ .... bring it on I say

"The Chasers" is excellent. I often get their episodes off youtube because of ABC's non-copywrite policy.

Finished watching Heroes last night - double episode season 2 premier. Quite good.

Tonight just finished The Bionic Woman - it R.O.C.K.s.
David you'll be pleased to know 2 of the actors from Battlestar Galactica are in it. The Chief - Tyrol and Starbuck (who happens to be the bad ass nemesis and Bionic Woman mark 1).

Also watched another newby - REAPER - was ok, and I'll watch the next episode.

A New vampire series started in the weekend in the US = Moonlight. Oh definitely keep an eye out for this one if it comes to NZ TV. Great show, excellent production values and the acting wasn't to bad neither.

STARGATE ATLANTIS season 4 has started again. So all SF nuts rejoice! .

OooooOOooo... Heroes season 2. I watched the whole first season as a download. Was great to be able to pause it when i wanted, and skip all the advertisements.

I'm definitely looking to do the same with Season 2.

Used to use Azureus but now prefer uTorrent for my software. Faster opening.

Preferred Torrent search page is Isohunt. (way less annoying porn).

Tried for a while subscribing to a Usenet as they can be up to 5 times faster. But didn't work out that way as slingshot just could not provide those speeds.

Yes I can confirm for those of you who are really into Heroes and having repetitive advertisement interruptions of your viewing plesure, that TV3 airs episode ONE on 22 October @ 2030!

Episode 3, yep that's what played in the US on Tuesday was great. I believe you boys (and girls) are really going to enjoy this season.

Not bad TV3, by Monday they'll only be 4.6 episodes behind

Tonight if I have time I'll be enjoying The Bionic Woman ep 3 (re-imagined of coarse), Big Shots (3), and maybe Journeyman (3). No adds that should be about 135 minutes!

Excuse my shameless plug but - The new season of Eating Media Lunch kicks off tonight at 10pm tv 2. If anyone just happens to not be out at that time you'll no doubt enjoy the rousing satire on offer. You'll also see me playing a cop receiving a commendation. Brilliant.

Catch some times, but here's the reason to definitely watch TV2 tonight.

Anyways, I know it's naughty, especially while at work (), but just watched Dirty Sexy Money and then Gossip Girl.

A Hollywood blockbuster starring Australian actor Hugh Jackman will be filmed in the Southern Lakes this summer, employing hundreds of people.

Rumoured to have a budget in excess of $100 million, pre-production is well underway in Sydney for X-Men prequel Wolverine -- a 20th Century Fox film, in conjunction with Jackman's own company, Seed. The majority of filming will take place at Fox Studios in Sydney.

The film's New Zealand production supervisor, Simon Ambridge, confirmed to The Press that locations around Queenstown and Central Otago would be used during a four-week shooting period in late December and early January.

The production office in Queenstown was opened last week by Woz Productions, a New Zealand offshoot of 20th Century Fox.

Mr Ambridge said there would be lots of New Zealanders working on the film. The final mix would include "hundreds" of industry professionals from New Zealand, Australia and the United States, including many Queenstown locals.

Wolverine has been scheduled for release next July.

'Under the Mountain' to be adapted to film

A film based on the 1979 Maurice Gee novel Under the Mountain is set to be shot in Auckland next year after being granted funding assistance.

The film, which will have the same name as the book, will be directed by Jonathan King, who directed Black Sheep, with the script having been written by King and Matthew Grainger.

Wellington's Weta Workshop will contribute creature design and special effects.

Gee's novel has sold over 70,000 copies and was adapted into a television series in the early 1980s.

The film has been accepted for funding by the New Zealand Film Commission and the Film Fund and will include investment from New Zealand on Air and Capitol Films.

Oh it just has to be - cause the mountain in question is Rangitoto!
