Europort by ECM nearing completion, contains hotel with 235 rooms, conference hall, retail, restaurants, cafés, book shop and services.

Prazske letisko je krasne, vzdy tam travim vela casu, ked som v Prahe, len skoda, ze Bratislava je na tom tak ako je, aj ked sa uz bliska na lepsie casy, ale kazi nam to tam blizkost Viedne ....

^ blízkost Vídně bych viděl spíš jako velkou výhodu pro Bratislavu. Bratislava má vůbec výhodnou polohu v Evropě.

no, ja to vidim fakt naopak ... 60km vzdialene letisko Wien - Schwechat, je podla mna aj dovodom, toho, ze k nam do BA nelietaju spolocnosti svetoveho mena, ako Lufthansa, British Airways atd., ale nastastie to vykryvaju nizkonakladove spolocnosti ako Ryanair a Sky europe, Vieden teraz pristavila nenormalny terminal (Bratislavu to caka o rok) .... ale Prahu mam fakt radsej

^ no já myslim že letiště Bratislava roste hodně rychle, ale ta blízkost k Vídni je výhoda spíš z pohledu města celkově. A nejde jen o Vídeň, jde o polohu vůbec. Podle mě je to jednoznačně nejlépe položené město v (postkomunistické) Střední Evropě.

Dúfam, že sa podobné projekty rozbehnú aj okolo bratislavského letiska. Problém je, že je relatívne blízko centra mesta, takže nie je až tak nevyhnutné sústreďovať tam hotely a podobne. Aj napriek tomu sa to ale deje. Dá sa povedať, že oblasť okolo letiska je jednou z najperspetívneších v Bratislave, ale taký boom ako v Prahe tam zatiaľ nie je. Myslím, že aj vďaka malej vzdialenoti zo stredu mesta na letisko by v dlhodobom horizonte mohli obe tieto oblasti spojiť do jedného veľkého centra. V podstate by ste boli cestou na letisko stále v meste, zatiaľ čo teraz idete prakticky cez sídlisko.

Čo sa týka tej polohy, je to výhoda aj nevýhoda. Záleží, ako sa toho štát, mesto a investori chopia. Ak sa dorieši diaľničné spojenie a vybuduje sa želzničné, ktoré spojí obe letiská a centrá miest, tak Bratislava bude mať výhodnejšie postavenie. Je tu lacnejšia pracovná sila, z toho vyplýva lacnejšie služby, doprava, tovar, atď. Pre cestujúceho by bolo vlastne výhodnejšie pristáť na bratislavskom letisku a prestúpiť tam, alebo odcestovať inou formou dopravy do Viedne, ale aj do Česka a Maďarska.

ehh we could only be envy... in Poland the biggest airport is "Okęcie" but it isn't a really international airport

it's quite small, is on the city (in the area of Warsaw) so people from there isn't so satisfied...

CSA gets fourth straight prize for best airline in CE Europe

London, April 18 (CTK) - State-run Czech Airlines (CSA) has won a prize for the best airline in Central and Eastern Europe, awarded by the Official Airline Guide, for the fourth year in a row.

The prizes were handed over in London last night. Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, attended the ceremony.

A total of 42 airlines were nominated in 15 categories this year. CSA beat Russia's Aeroflot, Poland's LOT and Hungary's Malev in the region.

And yes, I like the Europort too. With shops and parking and hotel it becomes great multifunctional space. The prague Ruzyne airport is becoming to be its own little city.
