What bout the Abbey of Melk in Austria.. one of the most beautiful Boroque church in Europe i think.. and Il Redentore in Venice by Adrea Palladio..

I had some difficulty with the download time of the many pics, but it was well worth
it. Such amazingly beautiful architecture! If I was forced to pick one country with
the most beautiful cathedrals, I may be tempted to say France. But each and every
one of the examples people have posted here have been wonderful!!

Cathédrale de Coutances

Built in the 13° century it is one of the most beautiful cathedral in France, not well kwown because Coutance is a small city.
Typical of Norman architecture with a splendid 'Tour lanterne' in the center of the cathedral.

Sevilla's Cathedral. Spain's biggest that also keeps Christofer Columbu's impresive tomb inside. A must visit.

^ youll find most cathredals/churches floor plans are cruciform shape. the nave is long part of cross while intersecting cross forms the transept.
