Can anyone post pictures or maps of how far this airport is from the city centre?

i'm though very curious + worried about one thing.... which is the floor material... most of it look fine and they're proper floor tiles... but this image definitely annoys me cos it does appeal to be those cheap 'plastic' floor considering the reflective yet slightly unflat surface you can tell from the picture.

another cost-cutting measure?

dude..that's old photo..

it wasn't clean at that time coz lots of construction going on ..
also many factors due to the quality of photo as well.

But once you get to see the real place at the present.
u will definitely be amazed of this futuristic airport.

the floor tiles are granite.. not the cheap plastic.

Yes, from these pics above, we can obviously see the differences. It looks so modern and futuristic. Some people would say it has a cold look because of all the white+steel+granite floor with no carpet combination. Though, personally I think it's great, it's also easy for maintenance especially cleaning and keeping the floor clean, unlike carpets which are hard to keep them clean(all the time), it might look clean after you clean it but actually some of the remaining dust, bacteria and stuffs are still accumulated underneath. Carpets can stink and over some time it will look old and needs replacement, resulting in higher maintenance cost.

The floor is precast terrazzo, not granite tiles.
