New Bangkok International Airport "Suvarnabhumi"

Simply stunning! What a beautiful airport, indeed (especially at night).

It is of the same architectural league with:
- Madrid-Barajas International Airport Terminal 4
- Seoul Incheon International Airport
- Guangzhou-Baiyun International Airport
- Shanghai-Pudong International Airport Terminal 1
- Osaka-Kansai International Airport Terminal 1
- Nagoya-Chubu Centrair International Airport
- Beijing-Capital International Airport Terminal 3 (Although it is still under-construction, I believe that it'll come come out to be equally stunning).

Trusses @ Suvarnabhumi International Airport + Some Sentiments...

Those 16 massive trusses supporting the equally massive roof of the airport terminal's main hall are very beautiful once the blue lighting-scheme is lit. Wow!

************************************************************
I wish that, similar to the opening of Suvarnabhumi Internationa Airport, our own Manila-Ninoy Aquino International Airport's terminal 3 would open as well. It is very, very dissapointing on us, Filipinos, that Manila-Ninoy Aquino International Airport's terminal 3 is not yet open while Suvarnabhumi's terminal, which was constructed much later, is already open. All I can say is: "You Thais are very lucky/blessed...we, Filipinos, are forever cursed/marred ."

Don't give up hope.

Suvarnabhumi is actually not open yet.
We have to wait for 2 months. I hope it won't be poseponed again.

One more thing, NAIA 1 and 2 can still handle its passenger traffic, but not the old Bangkok Don Muang Airport. It's too small and congest.

Last time I flew (last week), the plane had to fly around for almost 30 minutes waiting to land.

I'll repeat my question since nobody answered me before;
When will Suvarnabhumi be in operation - and how will it be connected to the public transportation system? BTS Skytrain? Metro?

Thanks!
