Not sure if the model has been posted b4 in this thread, but the higher North Tower (once completed) seen on the right will only be
10-storeys lower than highest residential floors/obsevation decks of Q1, which are 78-levels above ground.

...and Q1 Tower:

love the blue glass on ConC. cant really go wrong when you use blue. these two will be the best looking towers on the GC when they're done.

just as a matter of interest. Q1's spire does look out of proportion, the tower itself is a nice design but i do think it loses points for a little bit of a dull facade and the much to long spire. if it was half the length it would look in proportion.

i agree most bldgs in that pic crap beacuse there basically tall unit blocks. BUT the tallest in that group was a former tallest and doesnt look too bad. atleast its dif.
built to 43storeysin 1992, it was one of the first breed of new towers moving away from the norm-white flat tops.

GOLD COAST- A wonderland for tourists !
__________________
We looked at mountains until dawn, and then when dawn came, it was too pretty for me - there was pink and blue and gold, in the sky, and on icy places, brilliant pink and gold flashes, and the snow was colored too, and I said," Oh," and sighed; and each moment was more beautiful than the one before; and I said, " I love you, Momma." Then I fell asleep in her arms.
That was happiness then.

can somebody up some recent photos of COC?? these are all pretty old. they are both atleast up to the same level as chevron next door. i work next door to COC at the night club so I see this beauty rising everyday. as for Q1.....its good, but if u want buildings that people will remember, go to Dubai and stay at the Burl Al Arab.

The first two are the Arts centre at Bundall, the final one is from the Panorama in Tallai next to the Hinze Dam.

Welcome to the forum Mannix, hope to see you posting in the Regional Qld thread, we need more GC members there
