"But do I see Q1 as the tallest building for many years to come? Definitely not." The reality for south east Queensland is the continuation of vertical villages. You can't artificially produce land so we will keep going up."

This guy obviously never heard of Palm Jumeirah.

He wouldn't have to go all the way to Dubai, there's actually a bunch of artificial islands about 20 minutes north of Q1. I think the broader point is you can't create real estate in an already built up area, and one wouldn't want to keep building outwards or building islands indefinitely.

Wow, I never thought my signature would cause so much discussion. It's a quote about Surfers Paradise and the need to construct taller. Maybe to generate more discussion in this thread I should stop posting pictures and just get a new signature evrey week!!!!!

A pic taken by me last week

Amazing aerial taken by Aussie Bhoy

More of his aerials can be found here

Wow!! Q1 looks almost fake in that aerial!! Amazing. I was at GC last weekend, i must say Q1 is a mammoth.

Anyways, back on topic......
I was at the GC last weekend, i must say i love the look of Circle On Caville. Very impressive. They've really done well with the facade considering it still has balconies.
