MANILA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

NAIA TERMINAL 1:

The first terminal, Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 (NAIA-1) is the original terminal and was constructed in 1981. The 67,000 square meter terminal was designed by filipino architect Leandro V. Locsin.

NAIA TERMINAL 2 (centennial terminal):

The second terminal, Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 (NAIA-2), was finished in 1998 and is popularly called the Centennial Terminal since 1998 was the centennial year of the declaration of Philippine Independence from Spain. The 75,000 square meter domestic terminal was designed by Aeroports de Paris.

NAIA TERMINAL 3 (newest terminal):

The third terminal, Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA-3), was approved for construction in 1997. The ultra-modern 189,000 square meter international terminal facility was designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) to have a capacity of 13-15 million passengers per year. There is an additional 20,000 square meter floor area for shopping mall which connects the terminal to the indoor parking area. The Terminal 3 structure has a length of 1.1 Km (0.68 miles) from end to end.

No offense but I don't find Manila's airport that fascinating. The new Bangkok airport looks 100% better than that.

Terminals 2 and 3 though looks ok. Terminal 3 doesn't look that great on the outside but it looks nice on the inside. That is if the Philippine government opens the new terminal

I've seen the design for the Diosdado Macapagal Intl Airport in Clark and it looks better. I think this would be a better alternative to Manila's current airport since it's too close to the city.

Hong Kong's Airport is one of the best in Asia if not, the best.

Here's what the new Bangkok airport is going to look like

OK.. I know a well-travelled businessman who works at the Canary Wharf in London, and of all these airports he's been through more than once:

London Heathrow
London Gatwick
New York - JFK
New Jersey - Newark
Amsterdam - Schiphol
Dubai Intl
Mumbai Intl (sry cant remember full name)
Miami Intl
Singapore - Changi
Chicago - O'Hare
LAX
San Francisco Intl
Riyadh Intl
Bahrain
Nairobi - Kenyatta intl
Jo'burg and Cape Town Intl... & some more i cant remember

he named the best as Singapore Changi without any hesitation
aahh if only all of Heathrow could be as innovative as T5

Best Airports of 2005

Best Airports of 2005

I've been to Chep Lak Kok and I would have to say that it really deserves it top spot. It has been on top 5 years in a row. But I really like the design of the Seoul Incheon Airport

HONG KONG'S! That lounge is reason enough, although I've noticed that they've been getting a little stingy in recent years.
