I've been to Vancouver airport, and I loved it! Rather small, but quick and excellent.

I'd rather say Changi (Singapore), Schiphol (Amsterdam) and Incheon (Incheon/Seoul).

Heathrow Terminal 5 (not the whole airport but just this terminal). The best design I've seen for the airport. But agree about Vancouver, one of my favorite airports also.

I actually like Incheon, it is well planned out and they aren't that many delays

After travelling most Asian airports, I would vote Bangkok Suvarnabhumi for exterior design but my recent trip to Bangkok was a disappointing one. I felt the aircon was not strong enough and in the boarding gates, it is very very very hot (hottest airport i ever been). There are some relax chair lounge but in rundown condition (I think twice to rest there) and the toilet are not that clean and do have some smell.

In term of interior and comfort, Singapore Changi Terminal 3 are the best. The boarding area facilities are well maintained, clean and lounges are great. Best airport if you have long transit hours.

Other great airports in Asia are Hongkong(shopping is great here), Incheon(very modern), Beijing(its huge and jaw droppping), Kuala Lumpur(quite good), Narita(pretty good), Osaka(about the same as Narita), Pudong(ok for me), Taoyuan(bad but its better after renovation), Guangzhou(huge, design good but bad management), Bali(nice but need lots of improvements) and Jakarta(facepalm)

I agree with you on Bangkok's airport. The only thing I like about it is the architecture. At night it gets really dark and the whole place feels very chaotic and a bit dirty. I prefer HK's Chek Lap Kok even though it's already 16 years old.

All my favourite airports are in Asia. They cream the ones built here; even our new terminals pale by comparison.
