The current runway use of Schiphol can be viewed online. On this screenshot you can see the usage of three runways and the noise values around the airport.

"But Singapore, a day trip is certainly possible. "
I dont think so. There are lots of things that we have that many have not explored before. Chinatown, Little India. Kampong Glam. Botanic Gardens. Zoo. Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. MacRitche Reservoirs. Boat tours at singapore river. Sentosa. All these take one day meh? Hmm...now I know why singapore tourism is not good. We have not enough attractions right. Haha never mind, we still have casinos and universal studios coming up in 2009! And btw trip from airport to the city for singapore is only 11 minutes and we can even see our skyline Wanch. ![]() ![]()

The shortest train ride from the airport to the city I've ever had was 6 minutes in Geneva, Switzerland. I wonder how many cities can beat that?

It depends what you define city, Singapore's curren't airport is like a bigger, more modern version of HK's old airport which is in the city, so would that make the time 0 mins?

Kai Tak wasn't near the CBD, but to get from Geneva International to the main city centre railway hub only takes 6 minutes.

MSP International
Very underrated!!! I think MSP International is one of the best for a city its size in the USA.
I was in Hong Kong over New Year's and loved that airport. Beautiful cantilevered roof and open floor plan. Plus they have a Popeye's Chicken!!! Been to Changhi, Schipol & Narita a few times too. Changhi is very efficient and clean. I like the cactus garden too. |

I haven't been to many airports.
Baltimore-Washington / Shanghai / HK (Kai Tak & Chep Lap Kok) / Seoul / Toronto / Vancouver / Edmonton / San Francisco / Los Angeles / Orlando / Anchorage and probably a few others. Best: HK Worst: LAX Norman Foster really built a gem. ![]()

LAX isn't that bad! I've been to worst airports than that!
My ranking 1) Chek Lap Kok (HK) 2) Changi (Singapore) 3) Incheon

I love INcheon Airport, it is very futuristic and modern yet simple, but really give me an airport feel to it. Hong Kong looks a bit like when you are in an office, but it is very nice too...singapore should still improve on its image...its getting old. There is going to be another control tower soon.

#1: HK
#2: Singapore --------------- No one else comes close. ![]() Paris Charles de Gaulle was pathetic - Chicago's is very nice and huge, but nothing compared to the top 2. Heathrow likewise - impressive but not impressive enough I'm afraid. |
