Cross-boundary private cars to use LMC crossing during closure of Shenzhen Bay Bridge

Government Press Release

The Transport Department (TD) announced today (July 12) that the Hong Kong and Guangdong Governments have reached consensus to allow cross-boundary private cars using Shenzhen Bay Port to use Lok Ma Chau Crossing during full closure of the Shenzhen Bay Bridge due to inclement weather or major incidents.

A TD spokesman said, "The arrangement aims to minimise the impact on private car passengers using Shenzhen Bay Port during its full closure."

The TD will issue letters to inform individual Closed Road Permit holders of the arrangement.

For enquiries, please call the TD's Hotline on 2804 2600.
