well im not sure if the company who built this will survive - they are being sued by the few people who actually purchased the apartments - last month the courts said the developers who own most of the apartments could no longer rent any more apartments out until problems are fixed

I doubt they will demolish many, if any, buildings for the MetroPitt line as they will use tunneling to bore the necessary holes under the buildings, as they did for the Cross City Tunnel.
I notice on the map above, in Miliux's post, which shows the abandoned MetroWest line that it swept back into Wynyard entirely missing the EDH site, so even had it been built it would not have contributed to public transport in that area. I suspect public transport will be a few buses - light rail would be nice - and the rest put in the Too Hard Basket which by now, must be the size of Asia. |

Wed 26 Apr SMH p13 Our Liz is weilding a swingeing pen and a tart tongue on Pitt Street Mall et al. She's not too impressed by the motivations involved in most aspects of the Westfield redevelopment.
