They are alike in their fundamental structure, i.e. the arced triangle trusses that support the roof. Of course the Egg obviously looks a lot more modern and pleasing to the eye. I would actually like to see the Holt Arena rebuilt into a larger and more modern arena with a retractable roof system, but as usual the Republicans that control Idaho generally don't place much importance on funding higher education and college sports so ISU struggles financially.
