has anybody been by the Met sites since they put the new tarps up? The ones with the renderings of the new and improved Met 2 . . . . If so, if there any activity aside from the archiologists? And how far are we from Ten MP topping off, about 5 floors?

DGM over in the Miami forum dug up these great renderings showing angles of the Flatiron that we had not seen before. From the hollowed out back angles it actually looks almost like a wind surfing sale (see the bottom right picture):

go by it daily

met 2/3 nothing happening, construction workers for met1 are parking on met3 site and met2 is still the sales center, though the archeologists are outta there on met3 site.
ten museum park is really close, i believe they just have the 3 roof floors left and are finishing the last residential floor(s) now.

The first ever Shangrila Hotel in the United States would be built in your city. (After they finish their hotel in Vancouver, Canada)

Expect it to be a grand hotel experience starting 2008.

(Rendering: Slightly choppy)

As with all Shangrila hotels & resorts, their signature "Chi Spa" will also be available in this hotel.

No doubt that the Shangrila experience that you remember here in Asia Pacific will be present in this hotel in the other side of the world.

It's gonna be a wonderful experience for you guys in Florida as Shangrila will start North American continent debut with its four premiere hotels (Vancouver->Miami->Chicago->Las Vegas)

2008-2010

"Where will you find your Shangrila?"

Man it would be nice to see those beauties in the skyline! These would really vault us into the higher end of the skyscraper world. These as well as the "Biscayne Wall" would really help change the skyline for the better. It's really just a shame the the FAA feels it necessary to kill the height on these projects. When I flew into and out of MIA about a month ago I could clearly see the skyline and wondered how on earth they see the highrises as a problem. From the runways we flew in on and out of there was no way a building in downtown could possibly cause problems. But what the hell do I know.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE MIAMI

People seem to under estimate Miami. Not always but sometimes. The population of Miami,s metropolis is nearing 6 million. It is 5th in the country only following new york LA CHICAGO AND PHILLY soon to surpass philly.Dont let the small population of the downtown fool you. Its based on imaginary lines of a very poor run down area. Look at the metro area. For example do you beleive that tucsan arizona is bigger than Miami? lol yea right sure. The reason some small percent of people underestimate it is because of the boundarias of the city lines.Dont forget an estimated 1/4 the population is not leagal. they dont count them in the population. so if the estimates are correct the actual metro is actually 7.5 million. The Miami metro area has the third amount of high rise buildings in the country only following chicago and new york.Thats right more than La !!! These are facts look them up.Miami also has the buisiest cruize ship port, not only in the country but the world.we also have the second buisiest airport in the country .Keep in mind we have three major airports in the metro area.We are number one in latin american foreign trade in the country and constantly competing with new york city with number one and two for the number one tourism industry.Sadley a problem Miami is trying to fix is number one in illeagal drug trade. The first and formost major city with the highest latin population. To close out we have the biggest building boom in the country. huh i wounder why we are in one of the biggests building booms this world has ever seen lol. I love Miami. Born and raised in the county of dade.Look up the facts!!!! ;~)
