Last time i was in Kuwait it was 2 days before the 1st-war broke out..

Back then even Buses were always half-empty, those who did not drive, took Taxis since they were inexpensive and i recall everyone had more then 1 car -- I doubt that changed much.. A metro-system would be cool but will it be put to good use?

Man i gotta go back to Kuwait, i really miss it!

Well the bus system has changed a lot in kuwait. Nowadays there are two bus companies one of which is controlled by the government and the other one is a private company called citybus I think that a metro system should be setup because by the time that it is finished there will probably be even more foreigners in the country to use it

The minister of finance announced that the Kuwaiti Investment Company has undertaken the feasibility study of the Metro system. The company will consult four international companies in this study which are Parsons (US), Jacobs Gibb (US), Canarail Consultants (Canada) and SNCF international (France).

Proposed: Kuwait Metro

Kuwait's government has formed a ministerial committee to take charge of planning the construction of a large metro network, in order to end serious traffic congestion problems, reported the Arab Times. The Minister of Public Labour and Housing, Bader Al-Humaidi, said that no date has yet been set for the start of the design process and international consultants will first carry out a full study.

If they do it wisely and connect it to some shopping malls, buildings, resorts, etc. like in NY Montreal, Toronto, Tokyo, etc.

Maybe even you will start using it because it will create a new underground city for kuwait.

depending on the pricing if it was half a kuwaiti dinar and people used it giving a total of 15 million times in 1 year which is possible. it would bring kuwait 7.5 million kuwaiti dinar making it 25 million US dollar.

15 milion is very low it might be even higher considering the fact that there is also tourists and tourists usually love to try the metro and the youth will love to use it unless they had a ferrari .

me and my friends would use it all the time if it was made, if you dont like it others will and expats make out a large part of the population they will use it too and the main idea behind it is to reduce traffic now if by car it takes 30 mins to reach the downtown and by metro it takes 5 or 10 mins believe me many will start using it.

These are all propabilities tell me your propabilities Kuwait4ever on why it would not work.

Yeah I totally agree. If this metro is connected to the right attractions then it could be extremely profitable
