They're called postings, silly .. plus there's no such thing as prescribing what another member so wishes to share, yeah .. nobody's stopping you from lobbing your own photos here either I supposed few comic fans venturing into SC before launching this here page.

BTW, the net's the LAST area in life to be taking anybody seriously .. .. think about it

I think there is a difference between posting and spamming.

If you don't like the style of pictures why can't you just scroll past them? I visit a lot of threads that contain both things I enjoy and things that fail to interest me.

I was hoping somebody else rhetorically wish the blighter good luck in its now-revealed quest ..

Me, I've been having SO much fun with the comic enhancement. I'm immediately reminded of France whenever I see a comic strip, because it reminds me of the few years I spent here at fastidiously reading comics in French for the purpose of overcoming difficulty at understanding the garbled-sounding Canadien accents .. the strips were of great help at coming to comprehend 'street' French It's a pity too few Canadiens produce comics I've seen Paris's metro often featured in strips but never our own system, so I 'immortalized' ours and, frankly, it just looks FANTASTIC This one makes me think of an introductory slide of, "Meanwhile, at the secret service headquarters ..."

Funny how correspondents stammer and, indeed, end up meaning quite the opposite, eh?

Guys, please be more polite. A suggestion regarding the filter is acceptable but the point has been made now. As long as the posting doesn't become spammy, there is nothing wrong with a few "arty" shots in the thread.

Trainrover - is it possible to also post some pictures without the filter? I think we'd all like to see more of the Montreal system? Thanks!

Borough mayors push for light rail trains on new Champlain bridge
August 22, 2014 10:06 pm

New replaced Champlain bridge

MONTREAL — There has been talk of putting light rail trains into place on the new Champlain bridge since its unveilment earlier this summer.

“There were buses but there could be trains over there,” said Federal Transportation Minister Denis Lebel in June. “That’s a provincial decision.”

While the provincial government is leaning towards the use of express buses on the Champlain bridge, Montreal city councillors recently voted unanimously to recommend the use of light rail, and now two borough mayors are taking things one step further

The mayors of Verdun and the Southwest borough are launching a petition for Montrealers to convince the government that a light rail train (LRT) is the way to go

‘Métro is retro’: study

Montreal falling behind in rapid transit, think tank says

Montreal leads the way in access to rapid transit, with 37 per cent of its population within walking distance of a subway station.

But, as a new study says, Montreal’s “métro is retro.”

After investing heavily on subways decades ago, Montreal has rested on its transit laurels for years and lags Vancouver, Calgary and Ottawa in rapid transit infrastructure per capita, says a study published by the Pembina Institute on Friday.

Rapid transit includes subways, light rail transit and bus rapid transit.

While Montreal and Toronto focused on subways, other cities — Calgary, Vancouver and Ottawa — invested in “more affordable and quicker-to-deploy technologies such as light rail and bus rapid transit,” the environmental think tank said in its report, titled Fast Cities
