Favorite Restaurants in the Southeast

What are you favorite restaurantsd in the Southeast. If possible, give the city that it is located in. Street names are welcome, too.

My favorites:
--Gumbeaux's-A very popular French/Cajun restaurant in Douglaville. Odd because there is nothing else French/Cajun in this town.
--The Olive Tree- A very small Italian restaurant located along Douglasville's outskirts along Thornton Road. By no means fancy or exquisite, but very good for a quick, cheap, short/no wait meal.
--The Varsity- A fast food/drive-in located in downtown Atlanta. Not exactly healthy food, but it is good...and it is famous for its frosted oranges (like an orange lavored ICEE/Slush Puppy)

Any restaurant in Savannah is better than any restaurant in Atlanta. Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House! Elizabeth's on 37th!

I'm not sure if all of these are local to the Southeast, so someone correct me . . .

Hudson's - Hilton Head, SC
The Shrimp Factory - Hilton Head, SC & Savannah, GA
The Pinaccle Club - Augusta, GA
The Varsity - Atlanta, GA

And of course . . .

Any restaurant??? I dare you to list me ten restaurants in Atlanta at which you have eaten.

That being said, Savannah has great restaurants.

I'd have to say the Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas and Bossa in Houston.

THE BEACON DRIVE-IN, SPARTANBURG, SC (SINCE 1946)
HOME OF THE CHILI CHEESE-A-PLENTY!!!

A regional landmark, a Carolina tradition, and ranks as the second largest drive-in restaurant in the US. The Beacon's large menu includes sandwiches, side orders, plates, seafood, desserts, breakfast biscuits, and features an entire selection of "a-plenty" dishes served with french fried potatoes and onion rings such as beef a-plenty, and chili-cheese burger a-plenty.

The Beacon uses…
* Three tons of onions per week
* Three tons of potatoes per week
* Four tons of beef, chicken, and seafood per week
* The Beacon is the largest single seller of iced tea in the U.S.

The Beacon's fame is bound more in tradition...a sort of nostalgic mystique.

Isn't Atlanta's "The Varsity" the largest?

I love Crook's Corner in Chapel Hill NC. It's tucked away in the brush just off franklin street near where Chapel hill progresses into Carrboro. It's expensive, and they don't serve sweet tea (!?!) but the shrimp and grits w/four cheeses is to die for (26 bucks) and the jalapeno hushpuppies are great too.

Didn't even know this site existed until about three or four months ago.
