In the first image, what are those large towers in the background on the left?

i never liked such towers
but maybe it's the crappy render, the towers seem to be transparent
but they seem to have big balconies

So Brit these are fully approved and do you know when they'll start construction and also where exactly are they?
They are approved although I don't know whether they've signed a legal agreement yet (I'm not actually working on it). Don't know when construction will start either. The site is in Lewisham, on the riverfront, so spatially it's nw of Greenwich, on the western bank as the river curves up around the Isle of Dogs.

Those would be Riverside South:

Wow those are really cool designs! They aren't too tall so should get approved soon we hope. Will look great from the river.

They are approved mate... read the thread! If you mean the towers in the post above, they're also approved and are both over 200 metres tall... not so sure they're 'not too tall'.

the look alright...but wait until the residents move in and start putting up different styles of blinds and curtains then they wont look so nice.

Being modern is not a valid merit. What will they look like in 30 years time? Old fashioned and ugly. That greenery will never look anything like that in real life; it is a marketing deceit.

I'm pretty sure Riverside South isn't residential.

He wasn't saying it was... the 140m residential towers he's talking about are Convoys Wharf. Riverside South is offices, btw.
