Would u rather to live in Oakland? (city proper)
I'm just curious about u want live in Oakland but not in San Francisco or other cities in Bay area. Just proper city of Oakland.

yes I would... the proximity of SF. The cheaper, flater version of SF, with everything you want in SF across a bridge.

 Oakland is pretty heavily diverseful cuz there is about 60,851 Asian (mostly chinese). It's not black city though. |

hahahaha...Oakland is cheaper then San Francisco but its not cheap. The average home price for the city of Oakland is around $600,000.......hardly a bargain.

i lived in the oakland hills in the early 90's Panoramic views of The City, especially wonderful when sitting in the hot tub on one of the two back balconies. Its wonderful and gorgeous up there. proximity to The City is excellent. The various neighborhoods of Oakland were cool too.

ReddAlert and Zaq, Oakland isn't bad as unlike in St. Louis, Atlanta, Miami or New Orleans that has higher crime than Oakland. Only about 25% of area was shitty in Oakland and overall nice.
Oakland has few ghetto area as well. |

Oakland is home of Green Day (Rock band).
Decline of Oakland is occured in around 60's and 70's as growed more crime and gangs but it's got bad in early 90's too. In 90's, black population starting declined and unfair to growing in population. SF has loss of black population too. Oakland is goes growing more diverseful today. |

If you are concerned about crime and safety then moving to San Jose instead of Oakland. Only 35 min. to Santa Cruz.
