According to http://www.eonet.ne.jp/~building-pc/...o-ing-menu.htm right now there're 76 buildings over 100 m under construction in Tokyo 23ku area, with 16 more in the pipeline.

Wow!! Didn't realise that it had already made such progression in its construction.

Hope it turns out just as good, if not better than the CGI render posted by Tom_Green

54 levels above ground @ 248m/813ft, it will be the tallest office building in Tokyo on its anticipated completion in 2007.

Does "full summary" stand for detailed descriptions and pictures for every and each of those 90+ towers?

Although buildings in Tokyo all look squarish or rectangular, they look very nice and neat.

TBH, the design looks fairly nondescript from that rendering, but at least it's tall.

This is slightly off topic, and forgive me for my ignorance, but why does Tokyo, one of (if not the) greatest cities on Earth not have a few supertall buildings planned or in construction?

I know that they have proposed the 610m Sumida Tower TV broadcast tower, but it seems just now the tallest habitable building planned is the Nishi-Shinjuku 3-Chome Redevelopment Office Tower, at a reasonable 338m. But its only proposed. The tallest right now is a measly 242m. Strange, no?

I would have thought a mega city like tokyo would have at least one or 2 buildings over 400m in the pipeline.

Could anyone enlighten me here?

Tokyo lies in a seismic zone 4; that must be a good part of the answer. Raising a super-tall must be so damn expensive... anyway Taiwan has raised a couple of + 340m
