BTW: You live in Tokyo and i live near Frankfurt. I am such a big skyscraper fan that i even travel to Frankfurt for 3 skyscrapers under 100m but you are in the center of a skayscraper boom. I would die of happines if i had your situation here. I would make 10.000 pics every month. So heres my question: Why don`t you go to Roppongi Hills and take some nice pics from the construction site of the Mid Town Tower, please ?

the main reason why there are no supertall buildings in tokyo is due to strict height limit

Height limit, land limited, natural disaster and extreme expensive labor cost.

Los Angeles, CA.. <-- seismic zone as well.. we have the library tower, 310 meters.
supposedly this is the largest building ever built in a "major" earthquake zone.. it has a massively reinforced concrete core; and is built to handle "the big one."
The big one over here is expected to be in the 8.0 to 8.4 range and last from 2-7 minutes (if the San Andreas fault goes).
In fact I think that most of the high rises here will hold up a lot better than most people are going to think; and there is no reason why this cant be applied in Japan. If anything, asian buildings for the most parts are years ahead of what gets built here.

Some of those shown up there, are never seen before angles to me.
The height limit is a total shame, but then again, its Tokyo, it doesn't need to prove anything to anyone.

Thank you so much Chad for that last pic, thats what i call and update.
This building is gonna go up faster than we thought.
