Elbląg, Poland

The city was almost completely destroyed during the war by the Red Army fighting the Germans. It is being rebuilt since years in (semi-)old style.

I would argue that's more "reconstruction" rather than revitalization.

The buildings mostly weren't reconstructed since it's pomo, just the street pattern.

Elblag looks like it has some pomo, but in a sense they are a reconstruction as they follow the same lot, block and street pattern and some of the buildings even have the same silhouette as the pre-war version. The materials are vernacular, stucco over brick or just brick and most are stylistically more neutral contemporary. Faithful total reconstructions are rare and extant pre-war buildings that have been nicely restored even rarer except for the city gates and the churches. It was sad that the city hall was not restored.

Recently some unique prewar buildings have been very faithfully reconstructed in a literal sense with lots of nice neutral context around them:

love this park where brick paving shows the outline of prewar kamienice:

more reconstruction, albeit in the 70's

a mix of everything but nicely ordered

thanks spox38

not a masterpiece but it works, no better or worse than most new urbanist designs I have seen.

thanks Kubael

these are dreadfully overdesigned, maybe pomo?

I have some pictures of restorations from Savannah Georgia that I would like to share. Can somebody walk me through getting them from my phone to here?

I wasn't arguing that it was an accurate reconstruction. But the street fabric was largely wiped out and rebuilt (regardless of style) which is more reconstruction than revitalization.
