No country-wide renovation plan. Each and every town/city does it on its own. Some cultural funds come from the central authority but most renovations are done by town/city money.

As far as being behind Czech Republic I disagree. In Czech Rep. they basically paint houses and tenaments, in Poland revitalization goes much deeper (full restoration according to historical records, refurbishment of pipes, drainage systems, electrical systems, strenghtening of support bases/pillars etc).

In some cases - yeah, they only paint them (anyway that's cool anyway I think).

But they have also 'fully' renovated more than we have so far...
Plus they're taking care of 'small architecture' a bit better than we do.

I think the best think to do wud be to change somehow people's mentality - to convince them that the enviroment we live on affects us all. Just to avoid this kind of paranoic 'renovations'

Now that is LOL. We pick up the old macadam stones, and replace them with brick-like things. You guys lay macadam stones...I think we should export ours, because we have ~infinite amount of them.

I wish Bosnia could afford the kind of renovations we see in this thread.

Well, it's not true, because we can say, that the Republic of Both Nations in golden age (till 1648 - Chmielnicki uprising) was much richer than now.

It sure is! And a major one as well. I just came back from Poland and honestly I was sooooo surprised as to the number of renovations and construction going on in Polish cities! It is great to see that!!
