Hetzfeld palace was obviously a major loss going by the photo you posted, hope they go ahead with the reconstruction sometime in the not too distant future. That bit of shit built behind the remaining entrance is something that can be seen in any 3rd rate place, typical of the junk some architects come up with. A building as fine as this palace deserves to be rebuilt.

It's an art gallery; originally as I read on Wikipedia, the remaining structure that survived the war (i.e. only the front part of the elevation) was to be rebuilt. Despite finding a Polish and Silesian connection to the Hatzfeld's, the architect was unsuccessful in convincing the authorities in reconstructing the palace and a modern structure was attached to the portal and the remaining bits removed. Minor victory? the modern structure was built atop the facade and foundation line of the building, making future reconstruction easier.
