Actually i like so much that color choice, but the last building.. that's freaky..

Those colorful houses in Le Havre are quite okay, I think - they probably add some much-needed color to a rather colorless city, from what I've heard. The Art Nouveau building has a horrible color scheme though. Rather tasteless...

Regrettably, it is an idea receipts that is anxious to say that Havre is a grey city, because we make the mixture between the grey and the constructions according to war.

The concrete takes different colors :

Without counting any parts ancient that it stays ! (Boulevard de Strasbourg, quartier des Ormeaux, Cours de la République, Danton, Saint Anne, Sainte Adresse... )

Thanks guys, not only lots of facades were renovated, but in the last 5 years there was accelerated renovation/reconstruction of most streets and squares in the old town. They got closed for traffic and the cobble paving was renovated, in many cases it replaced asphalt.
Stritarjeva street for example:

Kongresni trg (Congress Square), one of the central sqaures was from 60s until recently a parking lot. There was carried out construction project of 5-storey underground garage and reconstruction of the square surface as it was designed in the 30s by our most prominent architect Jože Plečnik.

New public spaces were opened also with revitalisation of Ljubljanica river embankments. Breg embankment area has gone through most significant change:

Awesome progress there!

Urban and lively embankments and promenades sure are a European strength.

Oh wow! I passed through Ljubljana several years ago, and I remembered it as a nice and lively town already, but it none of those things were realized yet. Especially that Breg embankment looks superb!

Reminds me of a similar revitalization that happened in my hometown - Ghent, Belgium:

Graslei embankment, the way it was until the late 1990's. Then it was lowered and pedestrianized, along with a big portion of the city center. Now it's a very popular hangout place, especially when the weather is sunny:

It's even good for festive purposes:

Great revitalisation in Ghent, it could be more 'gezelliger' with some more boats, maybe even floating restaurants or houses.

There's no lack of boats during summer, really. Even kayaks and canoes are pretty popular. But I think one of the great merits of water is the sense of space and openness it creates. Having boats on it on a semi-permanent basis, like restaurant boats, would somehow reduce that effect.

Besides the lowering of those quays, a lot of walkways have been installed along big parts of the waterways in the city center. It's less spectacular, but it also makes for more integration of the waterways into the city:

Previous thing during construction:

Private development along the waterside even often includes some kind of jetty:

Until 20-odd years ago, the general tendency was still to fill up redundant waterways to create more parking space and have less worries about water pollution. Now there's a project going on to re-open a canal that was subdued in the seventies, you can see it more or less in this picture:

Lutheran Church of Saint Peter and Paulus, Moscow
Rebuilding of the spire on the tower (sorry for the big picture, couldn't find any other of the renovated church)
