Lol, no, but here's some of the Venice of the North!

With many thanks to ''Stadsherstel'', which restored and reconstructed many buildings from the '50ies 'til now on, an huge amount of buildings in and out of Amsterdam are preserved for the future.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Herengracht 300, Wolvenstraat 1A

Extra marker:
The building on Leidsegracht 106 is just one of the +500 buildings they've restored, reconstructed and renovated in Amsterdam and surrounding cities like Haarlem, Durgerdam, Ransdorp and Zaandam!

That's not Baroque, more like 19th century Historicism.

those street lamps are ridiculous they ruin the perception of the facades and look like they more important that anything else. it really wasn't that hard to find a more unobtrusive solution

A picture says more than a thousand word. We can just imagine how beautiful Warsaw would have been today if the city wash´t turned into rubble after the Warsaw uprising in 1944. Or was rebuilt at the same scale as Budapest (65 percent of the destroyed buidlings during the Fortress Budapest was rebuilt after the war).

Those are still old lamps.
Anyway, lamps like that are placed deep in history and tradition of our region and city.

tradition or not they look out of scale, but i see that in the background, for the rest of the street, they used smaller lamps
