I love it when structures like that are re-used!

A historic 1950s office building in Hamburg was reclad with an elegant 21st century facade.

Poznan, Poland

The Roosevelt Street has several beautiful secession buildings, but they have been in a bad state for years. In 2013 one of the details was restored. Now we have the first full restored building. I'm hoping for more to come

Hopefully the other few buildings will have their renovation too, so that that street can finally return to its old glory.

How do they choose the colours for the Czech façades? I see that they often change them a lot, during the renovation. Is there a historical reason behind this choice (i.e. restoring the original colour, erased with bad renovations) or is it just an aesthetical choice?

Sarajevo. A building was bombed and collapsed from fire.

Today it is Avaz Business Center. They rebuilt the 'pillars' near the bottom:

I love it when the original brick is restored after it has been painted.

This is part of a giant revitalization of the warehouse district in Minneapolis

Bonus because I like the trains

Glad so many factories have survived to be restored. Lodz Poland I currently restoring scores of old factories, once one of the most industrialized cities in the world.

I've been to the Piquette plant and got a very interesting tour by one of the knowledgeable tour guides, the nice man even let sit in one of the restored automobiles. Hope as much can be done to the massive Packard plant, that would be something.
