Embassy court is in Brighton, not London

Still a fantastic renovation, however!

The stone ruins are nothing much, but the new cor-ten steel elements are absolutely superb.

Great renovations in Łódź! The city seems to be changing at a fast pace with a (partially?) renovated Piotrkowska, the woonerfs, Mia100, and NCŁ including Fabryczna, the EC1 buildings, etc. I would love to visit Łódź! My girlfriend is from there (we live in Canada). I have a dilemma though: if I visit the city in the not-so-distant future, the extensive renovations will not have been completed. If, on the other hand, I wish to see Łódź in its full glory, I may have to wait six years or so...
I'm very curious to see what it will look like in, say, ten years.
@ dexter2: Incidentally, I have been following topics about Łódź in this forum, although I don't post any comments because 1) I don't live in Łódź, and 2) I don't speak Polish. I get assistance from Google translate. :P

Cheers to you and your girlfriend

Well, Łódź won't be in her full glory in 6 years. The amount of work that needs to be done is overwhelming. Nontheless I strongly advise you to visit as soon as you can and than come back in some years later to see what has changed

It's nice you follow our threads. Feel free to write in english, It's not a problem for most of us. Oh, and you can also visit international topics about the city:

yes I visited with my partner and some friends from Canada (we live part of the time in Krakow now) and was extremely impressed with changes from 1996. Manufaktura was a knock-out, Piotrkowska one of the most elegant streets in Europe and once EC1 on a par with such magnificient avant-garde edifices as Centre Pompidou. I am going to visit next year when the new central train station is complete along with a partial reconstruction of the historic train station that was there previously. I agree, it's best to visit ever few years and hey maybe you and your girlfriend might be tempted to spend even more time in Poland
