Is there a final design chosen for the Science Center? It has the chance to be THE icon of the Übersee Quartier and to even rival the Elbphilharmonie. But it's design seems to change and change and change...not a good premise. :/

concerning the project of Unibail , does Hamburg not have enough shopping centres already?
the new project will add a consistent amount of new shop space inside the city centre which is quite saturated already or isnt it?
in general , Hamburg is truly becoming an Alpha city for Europe.

There is enough distance between the Main Commercial Area around Jungferstieg-Mönckebergstraße and the new Überseequartier. The Überseequartier itsef was always planned as the commercial heart of the HafenCity so the amount of shopping/enternainment areas is okay, since also the amount of housing space and units have been increased during the replanning. The area will likely not affect the city center in any case.

Are there height restrictions for the Hafencity? If yes, why?

Yes. The historical church and spire citycore silhouette as seen from north with alster lake in foreground is unter special protection and untouchable. above 50 Meter would grow into the silhouette.

you can find it here on Page 26 and 27 on one of the very first concept-papers of the HafenCity
http://www.hafencity.com/upload/file...sheft6_ger.pdf

Don't worry. No virus behind. Offical HafenCity Material for public relations

If you don't want to click through a PDF -> picture-google for "Hamburg Skyline Alster"
