We're a collective. . . yes.

I don't know why you're getting your knickers in a twist, you posted it and plenty of people don't seem to like it. Happens. . .

I loved the Brum Stadium plans, and hope it gets built, but this looks terrible.

innovention usually looks quite good, like selfridges, i'm entitled to my opinion that it doesn't look very nice. And i'm sorry i didn't realise it had a hotel, which is a shame really it would've been pretty cool having a tall mall.

Mate, Its just amazing how 3 mancunians all post within minutes of each other, all with the same shitty response. If it was constructive it would of been different.

Of course people arent going to like it, I didnt at first but when you read the description and become familiar with what they are planning to do it sounds awe inspiring.

Its not much different to Manchesters Macintosh Village, its just a single structure with more elegant cladding, and setting.

Wait till more renderings come out and see how you feel then.

Selfridges looks brilliant, I agree with my fellow Manc. This atm doesn't.

Perhaps we need to see more renders, but my intitial thoughts are that it looks rank.

If that piece of cheese was built or approved in Manchester us manc's would complain. We did with such buildings as Greengate and thankfully it got put to the side.

So what if you make mistakes, Birmingham doesnt need to worry about that anymore. either way this country doesnt take it seriously.

They take risks, if it doesnt pay off, they will be ridiculed, but I would rather have a council with some balls and guts then see the same old stuff being built week in week.

It was the winner of a design competition and construction should start January 2006, but there will no doubt be some objections from people.

Is that meant to be some sort of joke.

Building the Cheese is not a risk, its a mistake in the first place. Its like the Andale in Manchester a very big mistake.

i understand what you mean about the city moving forward and i read the description of the main framework and it sounds cool, but i just don't like the copper-like colour of the cladding.
