In no order

1. Beekman Place, New York City, 876ft
2. Ritz-Carlton, Toronto, 699ft
3. Broadgate Tower, London, 529ft
4. Aura, Chicago, 823ft

Interestingly, two that are proposed but not under construction that I am eager to see are in London: The Leadenhall Building and 100 Blackfriars Road. The Aura Tower in Toronto was my favourite, but it has gone for re-submission.

I believe the thread asked for best, not biggest. Do people not understand the difference?

Burj Dubai seems to be chosen often. If it were 500 feet tall, I doubt it would be so popular. Design, proportion, materials, LEED classification, fit with neighbourhood, overall look? Height is impressive, but it doesn't mean the same thing as best.

Yeah but the Burj isn't 500feet tall is it? It's over half a mile.

You can't just change the size of the buildings in your head and say 'oh if this building was so and so it would or wouldn't be best'.

There is what there is, and that is the only criteria. Under that the Burj rules all. Great design, massive height, it's the King of Skyscrapers.
