That's good to hear. Too bad the design is kind of meh. Any idea on what the projects between these towers and the station are going to be like? I remember seeing some renders posted around the construction site.

It's indeed a standard Japanese Tower Block design, not really exiting.

The site between the towers and the station will be the 2nd stage of the project, and that's basically all the info there is about it on the web. I could only find one picture from 2007, it looks more promising but it might be outdated.

Most Japanese projects start of with the name of the redeveloped block/area and only have a real name later on when the building is already U/C or even completed.


Otemachi 1-6 Plan (199,7m) & Marunouchi 1-4 Plan (150m) (info p.12 & 13)

Otemachi 1-6 plan is now officially under construction since 11/30.

They released a more realistic picture of the design, the previous (on p.12) was a bit stretched.

It will have 6 underground stories, unless it will have top down construction it will take some time to see this one actually rise. Espicially with the scheduled completion date is 2014, we got to have patience with this tower.

The official construction plan has been made public, they fine-tuned the design and the construction start has been pushed back 5 months.

Yes, it will be the highest building in Tokyo outside the 23 special wards, the second tallest is a 118m high residential in Chofu.
