Prefab? I think people learned their lessons from the 1960s flats and Ronan Point. This is reinforced concrete.
Today. I'm shocked by the huge length of this building.

I'm often shocked by the huge length of things too......
Anyway, I noticed on Saturday as I walked down Deansgate towards Castlefield that if you stand on the corner of Quay Street and Deansgate opposite GN Square that in a few months time, your entire view would be almost filled by GN Tower to the left and Beetham kind of straight on both towering over. It might even be possible to get them both into shot with a camera. Hint hint.

Talk about "on demand". Any other services you perform?!
![]() Seriously, I'm very impressed - less than 4 hours from request (well, not strictly) to post! Thanking you x

Work on the casino internal to the GN warehouse is steaming ahead.
A full Beetham and GN tower plus the Casino will ensure this area finally lives up to it's potential. |

hefty chunks of prefabricated cladding on the first floor today. Smallish wondows and 'dark' coloured tiles which are somewhere between brown adn black by the looks of things. Not what I imagined. If they keep bringing them chunks in like they have done today then we will get an impression of the overall feel before long.

Big pieces of cladding are going on now, at the end closest to Beetham. It's black, not like anything we've seen in the renders, but then again we haven't seen a render from that side.
edit: didn't read the above post.... Quote:

Just what this country needs, a cock in a frock, on a rock! :p
GN is looking really good, quality cladding too, much better than the ugly ropeworks. |

![]() I wonder if GN will be 72m or 78m? Or more?
