that world's tallest and ugliest hospital will also be demolished when a new hospital is built around that location. but you can't just demolish it now and kick all the doctors and patients out of the tower, you need a new capable or similar space in order to relocate and accommodate them first and this is how things have been progressing. one of ugly guy's towers was already demolished in 2009. check out that destroyed tower below, good bye again!

that's why i told you, london has destroyed many towers which can be considered as great buildings in other cities. there is another historical building in central london which is being demolished now in order to replace with a new glassy tower (it's sad)

if londons's pulling up those awkward walkie talkies what does it help? really, londons modern sykscrapers are all very fine but you really need to stop these from being build.

it is a long story. walkie talkie tower (20 Fenchurch Street) is an updated version of the previous uglier tower which was already destroyed (thx god). many people don't like this new tower as well mainly because of it's inappropriate location which could make a bad impact on the city skyline. but london needs more office spaces so developers won't stop this construction no matter what people think. here is the previous version of walkie talkie which was destroyed a few years ago.

updated design (u/c)

apparently british companies are not afraid of losing money they could have sold the building or abandoned. this is really flashy

You are overrating London. Nothing special there. Actually I hardly find London better than Frankfurt and couple other cities.
