The way you say it rubs people up the wrong way, you need to be try and be a bit cooler instead of ramming London this London that bollocks down everybody's throat all the time, it seems a bit desperate.

There's nothing wrong with being enthusiastic about a city, besides it's better than being a troll and his posts are very welcome to these threads regardless.

No, that's EUROPE!

The same building would have cost 200 million in Dubai or China.

Anyway, the Shard is probably my favorite skyscraper in Europe right now. Such an iconic accomplishment of human construction. And look at the reflections. That's just out of this world.

In Germany we celebrate when construction costs are BELOW expectations.

The most expensive building in Europe is the Berlin Brandenburg Airport with estimated costs of 4.2€ billion (5$ billion).

4 Billion is the Shard's estimated net worth (wasn't it yet unrented?), its production costs were an estimatet 1.5 Billion - Burj Khalifa territory.

In what sense?

I don't like the building but it doesn't make his opinion any less valid.

Hardly call it trolling, more a response to another post.

However, in response to the OP, an Airport is an infrastructure project of many buildings, not a single building.
