Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF)

Project Phase I

Location: Shanghai Pudong Zhangjiang Hi-tech park
Occupied area: 200,000 square meters
Scheduled to open before 2010.
Budget: 1.2 Billion Yuan (USD 150 Million)

Like a nautilus.

the synchrotron being constructed in Barcelona also has a nautilus shape

what does this nautilius radiation-synchrotron act as ?

looks a nice peice of work though, is it still a proposal ?

It's under construction.
This equipment is for scientific research purpose.
Google it yourself, I'm sure you'll get it.

Where in the Pudong district is this going? Does anyone have an aerial photo that shows the rough location?
