how fast will these scrapers rise?will we see any difference in 2 years or so? Or do we have to wait until 2012?

Columbus Tower is not quite dead, just a little dorment for a year or two, waiting to complete construction together with Crossrail. Should be up and occupied for 2012. Unfortunately a number of towers are unlikely to be completed till 2010-12, though a few should kick off in the next year or so.
