I also feel about an international standard hospital in sylhet.A few months ago one of my relative was admitted in a hospital of sylhet. He was seriously sick.Due to getting better facilities doctor referred him to dhaka but on the way to dhaka he died.So a good hospital is needed for the betterment of the city.

You are right bhai, because of the AL and the BNP Bangladesh is about 6 years behind. Bangladesh could of achieved much more if it wasn't for them. : bash:

I have a feeling that within two years time, there will be a world class hospital set up in Sylhet, Insha'Allah.

Asian highway is going through sylhet. 7 sister states of india like assam, tripura, mijoram etc will be connected with this highway and sylhet is going to be the gate of transit between india and Bd. So a lot of asian businessman will visit through sylhet. plus a lot of Sylhetis live in britain and when they visit in bd they sometimes become sick. Then they become obliged to go to hospitals of Dhaka as sylhet has no top class hospital. So it will be very good step to make an international standard hospital in sylhet. I'm hopeful that British Sylheti brothers will do that and i'm wishing their success.
Thats very good to know that the SEZ is in process.
There are Sylheties not just in the UK, but all around the world, and Sylhet will become a very successful city, sooner rather then later, Insha'Allah.

Within 2 years time, there will be a world class hospital built by a Probashi.

You can't just blame the government for everything. I mean, the government did not give any provisions to facilitate the opening of shopping centers, and yet you see a proliferation of them all around Sylhet (and other parts of the country too).

Its really upto the British-Bangladeshis (or Bangladeshis) to set up a hospital if they want in Sylhet.

Why not? You're probably not familiar with "apartment hotels". Many hotels, especially the well known chains have certain floors in the hotel that are "apartments" that are essentially large suites. Some have a separate building adjacent to the hotel. These apartments are generally "serviced apartments" in that the rooms are maintained by the hotel and all hotel facilities .e.g. room service, valet, etc., are generally available to the tenants.

Its okay.but when they will sell the apartments then how the apartments will remain under the control of hotel?I can mention you about hotel garden inn of sylhet. It is also an apartment hotel.but they have sold the flat and people now call it a residential tower.

Which hotel might be better-Roseview or Grand Sylhet? What is your guess?I think during international cricket matches in sylhet(probably T20 world cup of 2014) the players will be kept in Grand Sylhet.Because it is on the verge of airport and also sylhet divisional stadium.

I certainly hope those who (already) have built these new 3/4/5 star hotels in Sylhet, and those who are planning/in-construction, performed market research/analysis to ascertain the total demand for hotel rooms in the area on a seasonal as well as annual basis.

It would be poor business decision (choice) to rely on the notion of "if you build it they will come".
