I believe that there are about 9 or so more floors until we get to the next setback. I'm not exactly sure how long this transfer floor will take. I'll guesstimate at least a month. It's smaller than what was just dealt with, but it's still quite large.

Excellent picture. When finished it'll look fantastic from the south loop on Wabash.

It's just astonishing the impact on various streetwalls that Trump will have. There are so many great sightlines on this building.

I cant wait for this one to be finished, I have a feeling this will be the new flagship tower in Chicago (until CS is built)

The flagship tower of any city is the one which most dominates the skyline (Sears Tower, Empire State,etc.). The Sears will continue doing that until something taller and grander is built- maybe the spire, maybe not. There is still no guarantee that the spire will be built, but it's highly likely and probably will.

Yeah, 1300 feet just doesn't cut it in Chicago

i like the way that trump will interplay with wabash on the south and rush on the north as a streetender. it obviously doesn't have the formality and symmetry of the BOT, but the unusual angles (curved angles?) makes for a dramatic sight.

If streetender is synonymous with terminus, I think looking at it from the north, Wabash Street will also be the terminus: http://www.emporis.com/en/il/im/?id=357100

I agree that its placement is awesome for proving a dramatic visual endpoint from various locations, with perhaps the river being the best one.

It will be a terminus from all 4 directions pratically.

From east-to-west: Looking at it from the turnung basin west of the Chicago locks, from Lake Shore Drive, Columbus Drive, and to some extent Michigan Avenue.

Taken December 19, 2006

From west-to-east: Looking down Kinzie Street. It won't make as great of an impact from there because of the buildings setbacks, but you'll notice the verticle edge.

Taken November 27, 2006

From north-to-south: We already know the impact looking south down Wabash. It will be spectacular.

Taken on December 4, 2006

From south-to-north: The view down Wabash from the South Loop and beyond and from Lake Street will be stunning.

Giddy-up, nice post, BVic.

Question to everyone: What is your favorite view of Trump?
