Most (Pacific-) Asian cities out of Asia?
Which cities (mainly in North America and Europe) have the largest populations of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese etc. people?
I guess in North America LA, Vancouver, Toronto and New York all have large populations of Asian people. Post your suggestions.

For Chinese it's probably San Francisco, it's where the Chinese immigrants first landed, for Japanese i suppose it's Honolulu.

Daly City, California is where all the Filipinos seem to immigrate to.

Vancouver is Canada's San Francisco in this aspect. Vancouver is the first landing place for Chinese settling in Canada (& building the CPR).
It definitely needs a large population to support Aberdeen Centre: http://aberdeencentre.com/ |

there's tons of asians in southern california, in my elementary school like 3/4 of the kids were asian (mostly korean and vietnamese), i got used to them but theres a ton of them here, atleast where i used to live in Garden Grove. and here in orange county we have Little Saigon in Westminster, which probably explains the amount of asians

The stats are from a thread in SSP, right? Because there was a lot of people complaining that the methods of its compilation were full of errors (classification of Asian excluding West Asians, different compilation styles for US and Canada).
Anyway, I'd say Honolulu, LA, SF, Toronto, Vancouver, and NY are the biggies in NA. |

The Netherlands.
There are about 100.000 Chinese people in the Netherlands. Not so much, if you compare them to other foreigners in this country. They are mainly working in the food processing industry, the restaurants and as ship brokers. The biggest `Chinatown`is in the Rotterdam Westend, but The Hague and Amsterdam are having Chinese communities too. But generally, they are widespread all over the country, nowadays takin`over the fastfood restaurants. And well-accepted by the Dutch.

In my own city, Malmφ, we got about 30% immigrants (people born in a foreign country). Most of them are from the Balkan countries (former Jugoslavia etc.) and arab countries such as Iraq. More than 50% of the people under 18 years old have a foreign background.
Though, the asian population in Malmφ is quite small and consists mainly of Vietnamese (refugees from the war), Chinese and Thai people. In Copenhagen asian people are a common sight, anyone got any numbers?
